February hasn't brought any weather changes it's still dreary and cold! Been busy working on taxes to take to our accountant in Tulsa on the 8th. The only good that comes out of this is that we always go out to eat afterwards! Our grandsons Dillon and Philip have been playing basketball on Saturdays at Inola. Usually the feed store is so busy on Saturdays I wouldn't think of taking a morning off but Roger and I managed to slip away to go and watch the boys play.
You talk about a hoot, Dillon is all serious about it but Philip could care less. The entire game lasted twenty-four minutes.
Roger surprised me with a dozen red roses for Valentines Day and fixed an amazing steak dinner. Believe it or not he can be romantic when he sets his mind to it!! I got him the usual chocolate covered nuts and strawberries. And of course we had to deliver Valentines to the kids and grandkids.
Our niece Whitney celebrated her 22nd birthday on the 19th, and my dear friend Joan celebrated hers on the 23rd. Met Joan for a birthday lunch at Chilis. Always enjoy spending time with you my friend:) Went to a baby shower for our nephew Brandon and his wife Casey. They are expecting a baby boy April 24th.
Work on the cabin is coming along. The guys from W.D. Construction brought out the staircase. It took thirteen guys to carry it in and hold in place while another guy secured it. They said the stairs weigh 3000 pounds!! That does not include the rails, they were put on after the steps were secured. Been looking at stain colors for the cabinets, along with granite tops and backsplashes. Too many choices out there!! The only thing I can say for sure is that the appliances and doorknobs have been ordered, other than that I'm having a hard time deciding.
